The Aplomb hanging lamp is conical in shape and hangs on a slim wire, making it resemble a plumbline, hence the name. Designed by Paolo Lucidi and Luca Pevere for Foscarini, Aplomb is a suspended lighting system with a lightweight appearance, in spite of the compactness of the material used for the lamp body which is commonly used in the building trade and architecture: concrete. The use of this material in the field of illumination is extremely innovative: the result is a shock and heat resistant lamp with a linear, refined design and a strikingly sturdy appearance. Its compact yet pleasantly unrefined look makes this lamp suitable for use in the kitchen, dining area and above desks or work benches. It is a versatile and serviceable lamp that can be used on its own or in modular layouts to create original, personalised lighting systems. It is available in three colour variants: elegant and timeless white, neutral and sophisticated grey and warm, sensual brown.
