The steel cable supports the thermoformed and extruded plexiglas diffuser with turned and laser-cut aluminium reflector; the light is diffused by the etched glass. After graduation, Karim Rashid moved to the United States and opened up a studio of his own in New York city. He has completed a large number of projects, in addition to designing and distributing many objects on the international market, around 2000 to be precise, which embrace every form of design applied to art, architecture, fashion and furniture.
