The design of the Void pendant light by Tom Dixon is inspired by the shapes and colours of Olympic medals. It features a round shape and hand-polished surface that creates a beautiful mirrored effect. The light is made from solid brass sheets pressed together. Just like Olympic medals, the pendant comes in three metallic finishes: gold, silver and bronze. This pendant light emits a soft, diffused light that delicately envelops the environment. It creates pleasant and elegant atmospheres and adapts to homes as well as offices. It is perfect for lighting the kitchen or living room, and can be used on its own to light a dining table, or hung in multiples to light a whole room in a refined and sophisticated manner.
Tom Dixon was born in Tunisia in 1959, but he grew up completely immersed in the London scene. He quickly made a name for himself as a brilliant designer, creating successful furniture pieces such as the famous S-Chair. After working as head of design at Habitat, in 2002 he founded the brand and company that bears his name, and immediately became one of the forerunners of Anglo-Saxon creativity in interior design, particularly interior lighting.
