The design of the spherical diffuser is enhanced by the presence of a luminous stem, which creates a soft and gentle transition from the intense light of the diffuser to the shadowy area of the lamp structure. The touch power button on the stem allows for easy adjustment of the light intensity, and Artemide Castore also comes with a choice of local or remote control (controlled socket). The zamak base and thermoplastic resin stem create a sturdy and durable design, while the blown glass diffuser emits a soft and diffused light.
