Karim Rashid Born in Il Cairo on 18 September 1960 to an Egyptian father and a British mother, Karim Rashid is still one of the most active influential figures in the international design scene today. Karim Rashid had lived in Canada since he was a boy, obtaining a diploma in industrial design from the Carlton University in Ottawa in 1982. After graduation, Karim Rashid moved to the United States and opened up a studio of his own in New York city. He has completed a large number of projects, in addition to designing and distributing many objects on the international market, around 2000 to be precise, which embrace every form of design applied to art, architecture, fashion and furniture.
